Community Living Corporation

Community Living Corporation traces its roots to 1966 when the organization grew out of a simple ideal: that adults who are developmentally disabled could live successfully in their community… with a little help.

This innovative approach came ten years before the landmark Willowbrook Consent Decree, which mandated that persons with developmental disabilities be moved from large institutions to houses and apartments in or near their communities.

In 1988, the association was converted to a not-for-profit service provider, Community Living Corporation (CLC), by John Signorelli and a small group of parents headed by Roger Cooper.
